Quick Questions With LifeCycle

LIFECYCLE is a hard-hitting Alternative Metal band based out of Jackson, NJ. LIFECYCLE features Asim Rizvi (4Karma), John Soden (Legion), Joe Viggiano (formerly Ataraxia), Kevin Hightower (formerly Noosphere), and Scott Pustilnick (formerly MCA recording Artist Familiar 48).

The group met while recording at Audio Alley in Pitman, NJ where Kevin, Scott, and John introduced their experience recording with Grammy-nominated producer Don Gehman (John Mellencamp, REM, Blues Traveler), Mark Dearnley (Ozzy, AC/DC), Morgan Rose (Sevendust) and John “J.D.” Deservio (Black Label Society). LIFECYCLE takes the addictive guitar riffs and melodic vocals to produce completely original alternative metal. No Ego as LIFECYCLE writes what is best for the songs.

LIFECYCLE defines alternative metal bringing back the addictive guitars and adept songwriting that has been lacking. Their debut single is available worldwide on over 20 digital outlets including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

Quick Questions With LifeCycle

Quick Questions

My name is Scott Pustilnick and I am the bass player for LifeCycle.

1. Who inspired you to start playing?

A tall blood-spitting fire breathing bass playing Demon named Gene Simmons was my first inspiration. After that introduction, I found Geddy Lee….

2. Which piece of equipment couldn’t you live without?

Besides the Mike Lull bass guitar I play (if you haven’t heard of Mike check him out) my wireless Line 6 G50 is a must have. It’s tough to play without it because being wireless delivers so much freedom. So if the Mike Lull bass doesn’t count as equipment, I would say that this Line 6 G50 is it!

3. What’s your favourite album of the year so far?

I can tell you my favorite album of 2019 is easily “In Cauda Venenum” by Opeth. Another tremendous offering from a really cool band.

4. If you could have a lesson from anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?

John Entwistle is one at the top of that list. He really brought the bass to the forefront and also had a huge impact on the round wound strings everyone uses today as standard. A lesson from John would be wild.

5. What is your number one tip for any new player?

Take 30 minutes a day to work on something that is REALLY difficult to play. After the 30 minutes are up, then enjoy jamming to whatever you want. Set aside time to struggle. If you don’t work hard at what you are horrible at, you will never grow.
