Comprising of members from three successful Irish Heavy Rock/Metal bands ‘Kerouac’, ‘Marabou’ and ‘Ritual Effect’, Peralis burst onto the scene with years of high intensity live shows and critically acclaimed releases under their belts.

Peralis spent the last few months writing songs and shaping a sound that will keep fans of Keroauc, Marabou and Ritual Effect very, very happy but the new expansion in sound scape will open the doors to new further reaching audiences.

1. Who inspired you to start playing?
Jimmy Page, Richie Kotzen, Daniel Johns and my Dad (Ren- Guitarist)

Billy Joe Armstrong, Conor Oberst (AJ – Guitarist)

My two older cousins Johnny and Andrew inspired me the most to start playing when I was about 8. The first song they taught me was ‘Today’ by the Smashing Pumpkins (Kalebh- Bassist)

2. Which piece of equipment couldn’t you live without?
My old faithful Boss ME50 and my American Fender Deluxe Strat (Ren)

It would have to be my first ever guitar, a LAG semi acoustic (AJ)

3. What’s your favourite album of the year so far?
Definitely for me it’s ‘50 for 50’ by Richie Kotzen (Ren)

4. If you could have a lesson from anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
Oooo nice question, Jimi Hendrix but someone who is alive would have to be Richie Kotzen!!! (Ren)

For me it would have to be David Gilmour (AJ)

Justin Chancellor without a doubt (Kalebh)

5. What is your number one tip for any new player?
It would have to be listen to as much music as you possibly, all genres. The more you listen and expand your musical taste the more places you can take your music when your instrument is in your hand. Jamming along to your favourite songs is great too, no tabs, no music notation just your instrument and your ears. Playing by ear is a very special skill to possess and a very rewarding one.
