Quick Questions With These Fast Times

These Fast Times started frontman Jeffery Vuorela pulling his former comrade Ryan (Skin Slapper) from the beat down brothels in southern Africa. They realized they didn’t sound like shit enough so they put out an airplane ad stating they needed a lead guitarist and bassist to do the dirty with. Within minutes Jay (Bass) man cocker spaniel sprang from the bushes pulling his broken cardboard wagon with a mentally challenged northern Swedish man named Thomas Acountingsworth (Guitar).
The creatures of the dad bod culture formed a band called These Fast Times because they were going no where fast..

These Fast Times Interview

Quick Questions

1. Who inspired you to start playing?

Jason: Mark Hoppus. I saw him play and fell in love with his tone, the way he plays bass and how he runs around on stage having a blast.
Jeff: My dad
Thomas: inspired by my uncle Dan the lefty guitarist.

2. Which piece of equipment couldn’t you live without?
Jason: it’s a tie between my fender Precision bass and my Ampeg Svt-4 pro head. I love the sounds and tone I can get from them.
Jeff: my most important piece of equipment has to be my penis.
Thomas: I don’t think I would be where I’m at right now if it weren’t for my zoom tri-metal TM-01 distortion pedal. it blows everybody away – and it had this knob\ setting called range. when I was just getting started and experienced players would hit up my rig. They would always praise the Zoom which at the time during the early 2000s wasn’t really known for its distortion. Yeah that’s the one.

3. What’s your favourite album of the year so far?
Jason: I’m pretty stoked about the new “Blink-182-Nine” and a great Rock album would be “Far South- Good Enough For Rock and Roll”.
Jeff: a greatest album this year has to be the “Weezer-The teal album”
Thomas: “Rise- Hollywood Vampires” and I’m seeing Joe Perry with Aerosmith on Saturday.

4. If you could have a lesson from anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
Jason: it’s hard to say. I have a lot of different bass players that I take inspiration from to just choose one. but I think one I’d love to take a lesson from would be Carol Kaye. I love the way she plays bass and her sound is amazing!
Jeff: it would be great to get a lesson from Frank Sinatra. he had such a nice voice that I would love to have!
Thomas: Dimebag Darrell, Chris Cornell, Dave Grohl and/or Daron Malakian.

5. What is your number one tip for any new players?
Jason: Play music you like, play with a metronome, play with anyone you can.
Thomas: Find people who are as dedicated as you and try to have more fun on stage than anyone in the audience. it will translate to fun for all. Peace I’m going to gamble my life away and have lots of sinful sex.
